Russell has hosted the 2007 BRIT Awards and played a recovering crack addict in ITV one-off comedy The Abbey, written by Morwenna Banks.
Brand also hosted an hour of Comic Relief. Brand will film roles in the new series of Cold Blood for the ITV network.
