Show @
7.30pm
St Petersburg Ballet Theatre has built a sensational reputation with audiences and critics both in the UK and internationally.
The Company of almost 100 artists including the superb 38 piece orchestra is renowned for its sumptuous set designs, opulent costumes, authentic choreography, and the brilliant technical skills of the soloists and corps de ballet.
The sublime dramatic masterpiece Swan Lake offers passion and magic that few other ballets can even begin to rival. The powerful story of the doomed love of Prince Siegfried for the beautiful swan-princess Odette has captured the hearts of ballet lovers the world over.
Irina Kolesnikova dances the dual role of Odette-Odile, for which she has been highly praised worldwide. Kolesnikova last year stunned the audience of the Opera House with a performance that Robin Duke reviewed as ‘brilliant’.
“The jewel in the crown of SPBT is the ravishingly beautiful Irina Kolesnikova, who rivals any star of the Bolshoi or Kirov in technique and stage artistry.” Mike Dixon, The Stage.
